Bristol Acoustics was formed in response to the demands put upon developers and builders by the alterations made to the acoustic requirements and form what is termed Part E of the Building Regulations.

Bristol Acoustics sets out to assist architects, surveyors, developers and builders to meet these requirements and to ensure that all new-build or refurbishment projects satisfy the relevant demands of the Building Regulations.
How they do it
Tests of airborne and impact sound insulation are carried out as prescribed in BS EN ISO 140: Part 4 (1988) and Part 7 (1988). the single number quantities called for in Part E (Dntw +Ctr, and Lntw respectively) are determined in accordance with BS EN ISO 717: Part 1 (1997) and Part 2 (1997).
